How Long Is Gunman Contracts? Length and Replay Value
The short answer
The Early Access build of Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone has three story contracts. On a first run each takes roughly 20 to 45 minutes, depending on difficulty and how carefully you play. The campaign alone can be done in an evening; the training courses, challenge maps and leaderboards are what stretch it out.
What reviewers report
| Source | What they report |
|---|---|
| UploadVR | 6-7 hours for everything; about 10 with replays |
| 6DOF Reviews | About 45 minutes per contract on a first run |
| 6DOF Reviews | Outpost speedrun in about 10 minutes |
| 6DOF Reviews | Campaign possible in about 90 minutes |
| Jammyhero | About 20-35 minutes per contract |
| LunchAndVR | 7 hours played by review time |
LunchAndVR’s 7 hours included beating the main missions, climbing the leaderboards and unlocking about half the achievements.
What adds replay time
- The Hive. The practice stations keep scores, ranks and leaderboards, and reviewers spent hours on them. See The Hive.
- Challenge modes. Takedown and Last Stand on 5 maps with adjustable enemies and difficulty; 6DOF Reviews put about two hours into them. See challenge modes.
- Credits and unlocks. Replaying contracts earns credits for the 18 guns and their attachments.
- Hard mode. The three Contract Master achievements ask for hard with no deaths, and almost nobody has them yet.
How many players have finished
Steam’s achievement data gives a rough picture as of September 11, 2026: 68.9% of players have finished Contract 01, 27.1% Contract 02 and 13.7% Contract 03.
Is that enough for $25?
This is the most argued topic on the Steam forum in launch week: one thread asking whether three contracts justify $24.99 drew 33 replies, and another asking how long the game lasts drew 23. The counterpoints players make are the challenge modes, training areas, unlockable weapons and cheats, and the fact that the developer has promised at least three more contracts for free while raising the price as they arrive. The review roundup collects both sides.
